Advice for the Bride

in #photocircle6 years ago

kazakh wedding.jpg

I shot this photograph at a wedding in a remote valley in Western Mongolia. The bride is waiting to go to her wedding ceremony and her friends and relatives are getting her ready and coming to wish her well.

Whilst this wedding is in Mongolia, the bride and groom are actually ethnically Kazakh. The wall hangings and carpets contain traditional Kazakh motifs although the bride is wearing a western wedding dress. A Kazakh wedding dress is quite similar although were she wearing one she would also be wearing a tall white hat (often containing fur) to accompany it.

All your pictures have a special charisma. I especially like the colors and still your pictures remain authentic and unadulterated. It is simply fun to look at your moments in Mongolia.

Have a nice weekend.

Another cool one. I noticed you linked to Steempeak from your site and that seems a better place than Steemit to show off your pictures. It's not a site I'd really used.

@Steempeak is great for photographers
