The Sidewalk in Santa Fe

in #photo5 years ago (edited)

Hey it looks like I can finally upload some photos! The below photo was taken in Santa Fe, NM last fall. Everytime I travel to a different city as long as it isn't dangerous I like to do a little urban hiking. Here I was staying at the Super 8 and decided to take a walk to find a restaurant of some kind. I had no luck I got a decent hotel but apparently it's in a shitty location. The people there can't seem to drive very well. Right as I was walking back to the hotel some lady slammed her car into the back of a truck. I stopped because I didn't want to leave the scene of an accident but i'll be damned if they both didn't say screw it and drive off. I'm guessing neither had car insurance. I know you aren't supposed to leave the scene of an accident but I think it's different if the accident leaves you. So I walked back to the hotel.

I took this photo on the way back and just aimed the phone straight down the road. It has a decent snow that morning but it was mostly gone by lunch. I thought it was odd snowing in New Mexico I didn't think they got snow there but they told me they do every year around halloween. If you look in the back you got that one cloud up there but the rest is a snow covered mountain. The photo doesn't quite do it justice but I wanted to share it along with the story anyway.
