International Women's Day (original name for International Workers' Women's Day) is celebrated on 8 March every year. Women are celebrating this day as a major occasion throughout the world. The main goal of celebrating women's day is one on one end of the world. Nowhere is the main issue of celebrating common honor and respect for women, and sometimes women's financial, political and social establishment is more important.

History

The celebration of this day is the history of struggle for the rights of women workers. In 1857, women workers of yarn factory were brought to the streets of New York to protest wage discrimination, working hours, protesting inhuman conditions of work. The procession was suppressed by the government lethal force. In 1908, the women's gathering organized by the Social Democrat women's organization in New York was the first international women's conference under the leadership of German socialist leader Clara Jatkin. Clara was a German politician, one of the architects of the German Communist Party. Then in 1910, the Second International Women's Conference held in Copenhagen in Denmark. 100 delegates from 17 countries joined the delegation. In this conference, Clara offered to celebrate 8 March every year as International Women's Day. The decision is, The day will be celebrated as the equal rights of women from 1911. Socialists of different countries come forward in celebration of the day. In 1914, several countries started celebrating on 8 March. Then in 1975, international recognition was granted on 8 March. The United Nations urged different states to celebrate the day. Since then, the whole day is celebrated throughout the world with the goal of reaffirming the right to equal rights of women.

International Women's Day is officially celebrated as a public holiday in many countries of the world. They include - Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cuba, Georgia, Guinea Bissau, Eritrea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zambia.

Besides, only women in government departments like China, Macedonia, Madagascar, Nepal are getting holiday.
