RE: Consciousness can never be fully understood analytically

in #philosophy7 years ago

The premise in this article is that consciousness is all pervading and omnipresent. It presupposes that a cat has a certain level of consciousness and a tree too, though much less intense. Even an atom has in this philosophy. Whether this hypothesis is correct, I don't know. I hope so.

Sort:

is it testable?
if it's not falsifiable it's not a hypothesis...it's a wish.

Then you have to read my post again. Or your question was rhetorical. Of course it's not testable.

if it's not testable it's not science.

Did I claim it was?

you know...you're right.
you never did.

If you replace the word consciousness with the words "ground of being" you are bound to come to the conclusion that it cannot be known by the mind or by science. What I am saying is that you cannot make clay by aggregating clumps of clay metaphorically spoken.
