It sickens me when corporate media pundits and neoliberals try to hijack the legacy of MLK to promote their own agendas. They try to twist Dr. King's message into one of identity politics rather than true social and economic justice (including, importantly, the critical link between social and economic justice at home and in abroad). King's message that an imperialist United States that doles out misery and death around the world via both military and economic policies cannot be a "just" government here at home is more important today than ever.
