This is a beautiful discussion. I would add one thing which is mentioned in the Holy Quran and that is When God mentioned to the angels that he is creating another of his creatures called Humans on the earth. The angels said that have already submitted to you and are your humble servant and there is no need to create humans. God replied that you should tell me the names of the things in the world of which they did not know. Then God asked Adam to tell them the same names. Adam correctly remembered each and every name. Then God said that I am producing this creature because it is unique and more much in knowledge than you. So, it means the basic thing which makes a human superior from other creatures is the knowledge he has.
