An introduction to my theory about time. (not the actual theory yet)

Time

Time and I have never been the best friends....or no, that is not entirely true;
The clock and I have never been best friends.

Long did I live by the clock; everything had to be punctual and on time.
I was the type of person with who you would make an appointment at 12.00 hour and I would turn up at 11.45...
And when the other person wasn't there at 12.01, it could bring me to a point of infuriating frustration.

Time flew by so fast and I could almost "see" the end of it....never enough time, everything planned.

It annoyed me, but it annoyed a lot of people around me even more.

I was the friend that would call you if you're still coming........5 minutes after the clock struck 12.....
It could ruin my whole day...

But now, that I am older.....yeah, that would make a nice story, but no.... It's not a good start. A better start would be: After a few deep and profound trips with the magic mushroom, I started to look at time in a different way!

After my first trip, I had the feeling I was in that forrest for 6 months.....
I knew it was "just" around 4 hours, but I could not shake of the feeling I was away for 6 months. I truly experienced it that way.

Of course I shook it of as "it only felt like that", i could never be true, else my partner would have gone mad...

Imagine your partner going out for a trip, expecting him or her back in a few hours, and then nothing for 6 months.
It would feel like ages I suppose....
("feel like...")

Now I can use the phrase "when I got older"......

When I got older, I was overthinking my life:
what happened, what did I do, how long did it all took and something strange occurred to me:

I had a period in my life which was great: a lot happened, I had the "party-life" sort to say.
And it took about 10 years.....really, I would tell that to anyone that wanted to hear it, and well, also if they didn't.
Because, hey, it was the best time of my life....

10 whole years!!

Alright, still here reading? That's cool, I'd imagine up till this point it wasn't very interesting....

The time I describe above, the 10 years, the best years of my life, took place between 2001 and 2004....
I know I suck at math, but I can see that that makes just 3 years.....

When I got that straight, it blew my mind.
I never thought about thinking about that time in actual years, because in my reality it was really 10 years.
And till this very moment of writing, I still feel it like it was 10 years, even knowing it was just 3 years.

The 3 years is somehow unrealistic for me. It is not possible, and yet, the 10 years aren't possible....or are they?

In the next few days I will be writing a theory about this phenomenon.
I will not yet claim it to be new, but I think I am onto something.

When I get it in some straight understandable sentences I will share it with you all.
For now it is just scribbling, and I need to put in down in a way, that people can understand where I am going to and can give me some nice feedback or critics....or maybe even blow my theory into oblivion for ages to come......or 2 years to come....

please don't expect some mathematical explanation of it like you see in movies or how Einstein did explain it.
For I am not a Ph.D. Philosopher, but just a someone that thinks a lot about a lot and tries to write down his thoughts for you.

I hope that I can interest a few people that doe know about these things and help me work out the theory further on with their views, and knowledge.

Thanks for the interest, stay tuned and enjoy your Time

i thought its about time and gravity

i want to ask about something

what is before time ? in you philosophy point of view

To answer that question, we have to define time.
Is there a before and even an after? In my view time is a feeling.
You only feel time when you "need" it.
Time, and especially the clock is a measure for human to have some hold on.
Same as language I suppose.
Else it would be total chaos and we would have a very different way of communicating and meeting.
But your time is different than my time. You can be years older and still be younger and visa versa.

What is before time? is in that case the same question as; what is before love? Before joy? etc.

I love the question btw, It really makes my brain work, and that is something I like to have all the....uh...well; time

One of my favourite popular phrases is; "There is no time like the present."
For although I believe it means to seize the day and all that rot, I think its literally true, for if Einsteins space-time relativity is true, there IS no time like the present - time requires distance, space... a delay...
The present is the centre that is nowhere, that is timeless...
And I think i saw it once whilst tripping out.
I am looking forward (in a timely sense) to hearing your thoughts.

I think you would like my theory then.
It is not based on time itself, but more on seeing "time" as an experience or even bolder: an emotion/feeling.
I have not enough knowledge to rewrite Einstein's theory (unfortunately ) but I do think I can have some elements he would like too.

I think my theory would be more of the mind in stead of actual/factual science.
And there is probably no way I will be ever able to prove it in my lifetime .

Ah, I see, the experience of time. That's certainly something malleable (given different chemical outlooks). I'll stay tuned!

This makes me think of something I heard an old couple say once, about moving to some isolated cabin in the woods together and that they "figured out a way to make time slow down"

Awesome, I to have some interesting thoughts on time. I have experienced weird senses of time from DMT.

That's cool. Write them down.
I am very interested in all concepts of time lately including strange theories.....

And I know you can come up with a few strangely interesting things.

that is frigging awesome.
A great acknowledgement for little writers like me.
Thanks a lot!! It is deeply appreciated and very motivational!!

I know the feeling if you have to plan everything, not only for today, but you already know what to do the next day at a specific time! Showing up late barely happens, but in the last few months and years I got more spontaneous and everything still goes pretty smooth and often the way the way it should be! :)

That is absolutely great there. A smooth life is so much more relaxed.
Things will happen in the "right" time or so.

Since I let go of the race against the clock, I got a lot more time on my hands.
And even show up right on time without even trying to...
