ETHICS

in #philosophy6 years ago
The philosophy of life of people is framed by all their customs, values and moral principles demonstrated in their behavior, way of being. It is said that your reputation and actions will leave a mark in this life, becoming an example for other people.

In the society from the family bosom begins to inculcate respect, responsibility, loyalty and honesty as the main values; that is, to form a good man with high morals. Then comes the education that is not only at home, but at school being the teachers the second trainers.

We must take into account that we are talking about the human being, who by nature is complex and intelligent at the same time, his brain will acquire and understand what is taught but precisely man is able to process, memorize and therefore also decides how He wants to behave and what behavior to assume.

What is learned in the family nucleus is very difficult to forget, as simple as when they teach you: "Good morning" "Please" "Thank you" "Permission" "Excuse me", as well as the first lessons of the teachers that are letters and numbers to learn to read. In this way, character and personality are formed, then growth is seen and man faces failures and celebrates triumphs for life.

We understand then with all this explanation from the simplicity and human everydayness that we are talking about ethics which is the behavior of each person where their principles and values are reflected in the way they are developed from the personal to the work environment.

Incredibly the ethics defines you speak about who you are because you demonstrate it with facts, even it is not about who had the opportunity to educate themselves in great academies, they know more or it is better, but to act correctly or incorrectly, as simple as do good or evil. People must begin to be responsible for their own actions and assume their role in society, because whatever they are is because they decided to be.

Throughout history have emerged great philosophers like Aristotle who spoke of ethics as follows:

In his nicomaque ethics, Aristotle identifies individual and collective happiness as the supreme purpose. To achieve it, it places reason, virtue and prudence above passions, since for him human beings live in society and their attitudes must be directed towards a common good.
For Aristotle, all practical rationality seeks an end or a good, while ethics has the purpose of establishing the supreme purpose that is above, that justifies all others, and help to know the way to achieve it.

Duties and norms are like a pattern that help guide human behavior, as well as when acting with professional ethics at all times with honesty and responsibility so that there can be credibility in the work you do, that's why I keep insisting that what will speak well of someone are their actions, people should have confidence in themselves and always have the conviction of their values so they do not make you doubt at any time and above all be aware, that reason prevails and not the assumption so that At the end of the day you sleep with a quiet conscience.

The value of people is that they put themselves and not expect others to put value; that is to say not to live tied to prejudices, to which they will say what they think the others. You have to let go of the bonds to live and be happy with freedom.

The power to decide and choose the path is individual, everyone must be clear on who he is and what he wants to do.

There are lessons in life that mark you, so do you have to suffer for them? Or learn from them? This is where the character is revealed, the virtues to see and resolve, it is so important all the experiences acquired because they allow you to grow, mature and not forget that you have ethics, moral errors have consequences and you have to assume them, not You can walk through life causing harm to others, learn to live in society, your rights end where others begin and so on. In short, as they say over there, you have to be ashamed.

The truth is that in the world does not live a single person on the contrary are millions so that coexistence is not easy, different languages and cultures but anywhere in the world you can educate, prepare to behave correctly can be done in the language that be and become very wise, committed and respectful.

And hopefully, millions of people full of virtues and wisdom in this world.

Thanks for visiting, I appreciate your opinion.

Ethics is defined by talking about who you are because you show it with facts

Sort:

Ethics are important especially in a time where we are constantly bombarded with new information and opinions that can affect our opinions having ethics and sticking to them can help you cut through it and not have you riled up over everything.

It helps you pick your battles and stay your course

Dear @chekohler.

Having a well-formed ethic, I believe that nothing can disturb your expectations.

A virtual hug for you.

Wonderful, thought provoking article. I cannot agree more that by people's actions and behaviors they will demonstrate their ethics and values.

Ideally, we first learn this from our family, although I believe that each individual, as they walk the path of life, will further develop these values. The opportunities will present themselves, but as an individual we make the choice,

Dear @r2cornell.

You are very right throughout our walk in our life, having good foundations of the home, we will be better people only acting with ethics.

Gracias por visitar mi blog. me siento muy feliz por eso.

A virtual hug for you.

No matter if a person is good or bad, attentive or rude, everyone will leave his/her mark behind. Rapists, molesters, scammers do so too.

If it comes to family: they turn out to be number one if it comes to manipulating and lying and abusing each other. The partner is number 1 by the way.

No matter how bad the family treats you they claim in the name of the blood bond loyalty and respect. Personally, I find you need to deserve this first by behavior.

Good article which I will share. I wish you a great day.

Dear @wakeupkitty

I have the complete certainty and the assurance that both you and I give our best so that our children have good bases in all the senses of their lives that are barely forming. Within that values is a very important one and it is respect for oneself that way you can respect others.

I understand very well what you propose and you are quite right.

Very pleased that you spend visiting my publication.

A virtual hug for you.

I know you know what I mean.
😘 for you with 💖

Regards appreciated @lanzjoseg.

The feelings expressed by my dear friend @wakeupkitty may sound very crude, but they are covered in pure and simple reality.

Sometimes it seems that the moral went for a walk and did not return.
I think that the role of responsible parents who truly love our children is the only real hope that remains for humanity.

I hope there are still responsible parents but if I read the daily news I have strong doubts about it.

A 14-year-old boy stabs a 17-year-old at midnight inside the house after a discussion.

A young couple is visiting the other city and 5 men are harassing the female. The man (18 years old) makes a remark about it and he is beaten up by at least 3 of the 5, stabbed with a knife and they are threatened with a gun (possession of guns are forbidden in the Netherlands). The 5 molesters ran off and cannot be found.

80-90-year-old women are raped by boys in the age of 14-25. Same with young girls even several times. They claim it is normal/allowed in their home country.

There are streets/areas where people are afraid to go outside because of groups of young men scolding, robbing and molesting them.

Where are their parents? I think their parents are exactly the same.

How come 14-year-old kids are awake at midnight and not in bed. How come they are not at school?

This is only a very small part of what is really going on and this is the future since they say kids are.

I wish you all an open eye and a good environment and close friends for life 🌞 and 💖

There's plenty of good people in the world, but they are generally NOT the ones who make it into the news. We hear about the crimes and misdemeanours, but nobody reports the daily acts of kindness that people do.

At the same time, it's true that we are far from perfect, and even the best of us should strive to be better people. Kinder people and more ethical people. It's up to each individual, but each individual can / should help and support those around him or her.

And even if one finds that s/he cannot help others change and improve, s/he can improve her/his own life and character. Who would not want to improve.

We have news programs on national tv about the deeds of the common and good people as well. Actually, if it comes to bad things the media is seldom spreading the news. They like keeping up appearances so does the government, but the fact is the world has changed and people are more aggressive, there is way more vandalism, boredom, its normal to rape even to make videos of group rape, etc and there is less till no respect for elderly people, teachers, parents (you name it).

I don't think all people need to be perfect. Why should they? There is nothing wrong with being different nor making the difference which in some way we all do even those who do not like to be successful and in the middle of all attention.

If I remember correctly, you are from the United Kingdom. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Unfortunately, these situations that you describe are very similar to those that occur in my country.
Apparently the nature of the human being is the same throughout the globe.

But you know that dear @wakeupkitty? Not everything is bad.

We will find many samples of values around us.
Perhaps we see them more often than we imagine and we do not pay them due attention.

The visual and psychological impact caused by the grotesque acts that you just mentioned, are superimposed on the subtlety of a teenager helping an elderly woman in the street, a group of young people who are dedicated to recovering a park full of garbage or to erase a graffiti from the walls to create a more pleasant environment.

Let's not lose hope in humanity.
Nothing is completely lost.
Let's just focus on our children. That will be our contribution.

Friend @juanmolina

I know very well what our friend @wakeupkitty says in the middle of that simplicity, what can be done is to look for a solution, the conducts can be molded and there are studies that indicate that they can be done in a lapse of about 4 to 5 years, the detail is who assumes that commitment.

We can do it from our homes but since the children are in the womb of the mother.

A virtual hug for you.

Human character.
The great philosopher of China,
Divided into two factions,
One person thinks that the character of the person was originally kind.
One person thinks that the character of the person is originally evil.
I think their two factions are wrong.
Character is originally neutral, no good or evil,
Good and evil are caused by the environment of the day after tomorrow.

I do not interfere with what you share for me, and strongly support your work, give gifts or money to me, this is an extraordinary award, thank you @lanzjoseg.

Hi @lanzjoseg the character of each human being must be different there is good and there is a bad thing to live how humans who live it, and about ethics themselves are norms that are used as guidelines in behaving in society, all also depends on the person there is good and some are bad that's all I can explain😄

@lanzjoseg ,
As a Biology major, this topic is not usual forte, but let me try giving some idea.

If blockchain is seen as economic model, why not explore it also as a "strong and soft ethics".

Strong ethics where centralization are more prevalent, and soft ethics where decentralization is practice.

Though i can only comprehend ethics in the blockchain as a "determined behavior" but I guess blockchain developers can think of consensus algorithms that can function on that manner. Since artificial intelligence are also within our midst, ethics as governed by action of people, it can be, in the future, be a digital/democratic behavior with fixed expectation, and endless possibilities.

Dear @guruvaj.

To be a Biology specialist. I really liked your way of thinking, good reasoning with respect to ethics "strong and soft ethics".

A virtual hug for you.

Thanks bro.
Lets do alot of mind experiment (atleast if we are not on this actual field of research) about AI ethics, and protocol democratization.

I love philosophy and psychology. Be sure to read your article for a cup of coffee.

Excelent post. It scrutinizes the most fundamental human quality, the one that can make a difference regarding our permanence in this earth or the very survival of this planet.
The sad thing about ethics is that even when the foundations for an ethical, responsible, and just person have been inculcated in a loving home, it may only take some brief interaction to put those teachings to the test.
As you rightly point out, to be ethical, just, honest, or simply put, good is a personal decision regarless of upbringing. I have seen "good" people, raised in "good" homes sucumb to hardships, or to the temptations of easy money or power. I have also seen people from corrupt environment raise to the ocassion as virtuous men and women, uphold universal values and choose to do good.

The value created by the family and early and immediate environment determine the personality of an individual.
According to Sigmund Freud, he postulated that a child develops his personality within age 0-10years of which constitute the time spent at home and in school.
But no matter what, you cannot change where you are coming from but you can change where you are going.
Change for the best and don't forget to tolerate other peoples value.

Hi @LanzJoseg,

This is a very important, difficult and extensive topic and for as much as I would love to discuss/debate it, it would take too long even to grasp a small tip of it, please forgive me for not giving my opinion and let me just thank You for the notification, invite to the conversation, and also for this post, for it is definitely a must for the well functioning of society as a whole, it should be discussed publicly so the majority of people could get a better consensus about what ethics/morals are, where they come from, how to improve for a better understanding of them and even improving ethics/morals themselves..

Again, thank You for inviting me but at the moment I can't really deal with this, but please, continue to do these valuable posts with timeless questions and knowledge, so more people question what needs to be questioned and might achieve happiness by leaving their mark, as You said ^^)..

Have a great day,
Cheers

I love this! Good reading material 💚🤘

Excellent article brother @lanzjoseg, chair in terms of ethics is concerned.

We understand then with all this explanation of the simplicity and human everydayness that we are talking about ethics which is the behavior of each person where their principles and values are reflected in the way they are developed from the personal to the work environment.

As you explained at the beginning, ethics is part of training, it is something that you learn, behaviors that you acquire from home and that form your ethical character, but then it becomes a matter of choice, each person decides whether to stick to that behavior or adopt another behavior. That's when the next statement comes into play.

The power to decide and choose the path is individual, everyone must be clear on who he is and what he wants to do.

Each person is endowed with the power to decide their behavior, even when there are patterns that shape the personality of man in the end is the man who chooses his way of behaving and what is going to project towards others.

If I'm wrong please correct me dear professor, very good article, I liked it a lot.
Pr EV

this is a very insightful post and i believe that you have made strong points especially the part where you get to talk about right and wrong. what i know is that it is based on your level of courtesy and ethics that makes an individual able to make the right decision even when influenced by peers. Great piece mate and keep it up!

Kelvin writes and feel free to follow back on my channel and get latest information about blockchain technology.

Perfect, we have learned long ago about this, and ethics in our lives are in the first place above knowledges. Someone will be respected because good ethics compared to them have knowledge but have no ethics.

Hello @lanzjoseg!

Ethics and morals are very important to live within a society when you can't do this, then the law acts and you go to jail. Perhaps fear of the authorities also influences our obedience to rules and customs.

We seem to live in a society where ethics and morals are shining by their absence. Starting with the merchants, the vendors and the people who offer a service like lawyers, plumbers, bricklayers, etc.

Beginning with what we teach the little ones: "Don't talk to strangers". Already there we see that we distrust each other.

Where are ethics and morals?

Why in the old days there was more respect? Morality and ethics as they were the rule, would it be because they were taught with a strong hand?

So, fear isn't as bad as it seems, is it?

I seem to be going off on a tangent, but I'm integrating what I've learned from the other post, hehehe

Perhaps so much violence today it is necessary to return to the basics, the need for a world war that will end half the world, that the horrors of the unbridled destruction and eradication of human rights or life in the forgotten minds of humans be recorded again, so that we may once again consider behaving better.

Unfortunately, we tend to learn better by getting damage, that is, by blows or punches.

Ask your grandparents or great-grandparents how they learn morals and ethics in their time! hahaha

Keep touch, my friend

Initial education at home, is the basis of the responsible men of tomorrow, understanding as a responsibility the proceeding adjusted to norms and values that allows human coexistence.

Regards!
