WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE SOCIETY

There are times when I don’t like to watch TV news because it makes me frustrated. Though I know that watching it will also mean that I’ll be updated on the things around me, hearing those different bad news is also making me sick. Seeing the clips about war is really heartbreaking and I can’t even pay attention to whatever the news anchor is saying. Because of non-stop firing and bombing, several establishments (including homes) became completely unrecognizable and many innocents suffered.

If there are misunderstandings, why can’t we just sit together and discuss it? Why can’t we tolerate each other’s differences? Why can’t we stop hating and killing one another?

Another thing that makes me sad is the fact that there are animal abusers. I understand that some of us are not animal lovers specially if due to a health condition, the doctor prohibits you to have a pet. The only thing that I can’t discern is why there are people hurting an animal for no reason and even if there’s a reason, it’s still unacceptable (except those life-threatening moments). I remembered one time, there’s news that shows CCTV footage of animal cruelty. The stray cat is just sitting in the corner and maybe it’s about to sleep since it was already in the evening until a group of men beats the cat using a piece of wood.

When I saw it on TV, it made me cry because I feel sorry for the cat. The cat died eventually but thanks to PAWS because justice was served, those men are now in prison. Animal abusers must be reported immediately so that an appropriate punishment will be forced upon. I’m a believer that if they can hurt and kill an animal, the possibility for them to hurt and kill people is more likely to happen. I don’t know what kind of pleasure does it bring to them, but beating an animal is never fun at all.

I also noticed that there is a growing idea that women are either fashionable and slut, or simple and smart. What I’m trying to say is that some women (those who don’t wear makeup) think that they are better than those women who wear a crop top and high heels, and vice versa. As a woman (and as a human), we should not downgrade and judge each other. There are girls with nothing on their face but still amazingly gorgeous and there are ladies who are putting their makeup on but incredibly smart as well.

All of us are under the same sky, we burp, and poop (sorry for the word) so I guess it makes the sense that no matter who we are, we will remain equal.

Despite the bad things happening around us, life is still worth living. There are still good people on this planet and those who are on the wrong path, let’s pray for them. I know that it is hard sometimes, but let’s do our best to be kind and nice to everyone even if they are mean to us. They have the freedom to bash you and you have the freedom to ignore them. As long as you have a strong faith in God and the humanity, hope will always be there.

Maybe there’s really nothing wrong about the society, I guess it is the human race who keep on doing the wrong things that make the society a little more unpleasant. It is in our hands to make this world a better place.
