I've come to discover the opposite of control is allowance. It's a very different animal motivated by a compassionate/service to others kind of rooting system. Control tends to be fear-driven and what many of us are used to depending on age, family, circumstance, all unique to the individual.

I've learned more about myself as I released judgement of others by accepting and respecting the choices they make even if I wouldn't make them myself. It wasn't easy at first, I had a lot of issues. :D

Thank you for sharing this, I enjoyed it very much. Blessings to you!

I agree wholeheartedly. Advice is usually only welcomed when asked for. People are free to make their own choices and pressing the issue just causes unnecessary tension. As long as no immirnent danger is at hand, I tend to only give advice to people I know truly value my thoughts.

It's especially hard when you are on the other side of an obstacle and you a friend or sibling going down the same path. Sometimes it's best to let people learn the hard way, even though it can hurt your heart to know what lays ahead.
