Cagbalete is an island off the east cost of Luzon, Philippines on Lamon-Bay. It is part of Quezon province administered by the municipality of Mauban. It is said that a family known as the Pansacola brothers purchased the island from the spanish government in year 1859 that is why many of the beach resort in the island is named after them.
From the town of Mauban, we had a 45 minute boat ride to reach the island
When we arrived on the island, many residents from there will welcome you and ask you to what beach resort you are going to. Since we don’t have reservation that time, we asked them to accompany us to some of the beach resorts available there. This time we ride on a motorcycle to search for a resort where we could stay. As I remembered, there are already 14 resorts on the island. From cheap to expensive ones.
Our motorcycle ride going to the beach.
Then finally we decided to stay in Jovelil Beach Resort. (This is my girlfriend, she really loves the beach)
Here we are. There at back is the room where we stayed overnight which cost 2,000php per night.
This was the food that the residents from the island cooked for us. You can ask them to cook for you if you didn’t prepare food for your trip. You can also request for a seafood you like. We paid for this for a very cheap price. By the way, the residents there were all very kind and accommodating
There are lots of activities you can do on the island like island hopping, snorkeling kayaking and many more.
