Hello, I'm drunk and I wish I never met you.

I was whole. I was happy. I was content. Until I met you. And suddenly the stars don't shine as bright when you weren't around, and the dazzle of the sun was nothing compared to the light in your eyes, and a hundred different lifetimes would be meaningless without you.

What have you done to me? How did you penetrate the walls of this heart, how could you hold out your hand and make it seem like you've healed every crack and crevice in it? How could you do this when we both know you will have to leave, that this time we share is nothing but borrowed, that the clock is ticking with every second that you have shared with me?

Hello, I'm drunk and I wish we never have to say goodbye.

I want to stay within the safety of this embrace, I want to live in this little universe we've created for us. I want nothing but this soft, fuzzy spot of love.

I know this is an illusion, nothing but foolishness, really. This will get to nothing but heartbreak, and I will cry an ocean of tears. Still, don't we all just want to be happy? Even if it's not real.

Hello, I'm drunk and the time has come for us to part.

The curtains are down, the lights are out, the show is done. There is no one here but you, me, and the broken fragments of our hearts. We chose to walk this road, didn't we? We knew full well it will lead us here, and yet we chose to walk through it.

No regrets. Just a longing that I could freeze this moment so I could remember that once upon a time I loved someone this much.

Hello, I'm drunk. And this is goodbye.
