TUNA and Moringa oleifera
I got this recipe years ago from a youtube channel.
But instead of using chicken and coconut milk, I used tuna and oyster sauce.
Ingredients
1 small onion Allium cepa
2 garlic cloves Allium sativum
1 inch ginger Zingiber officinale
2 small tomatoes Solanum lycopersicum
10 g baby corn Zea mays
1 teaspoon thyme Thymus Vulgaris
5 ml soy sauce
10 ml oyster sauce (optional)
130 ml water
1 can tuna
Lezz start cooking
- In a frying fan, sautè onion, garlic and ginger using the tuna's vegetable oil.
- Once the oil becomes thick, add tomatoes
- Cook the tomatoes until tender then add the baby corn plus oyster sauce.
- Once corn's color turns bright yellow add water.
- Let it boil and add soy sauce and thyme.
- Add the tuna and simmer for 3-5minutes.
- Take the pan out of stove and add malunggay.
- Cover for another minutes and serve.
Good for 2-3 pax. Enjoy!
Fun fact about Moringa Oleifer
Did you know that a branch of malunggay is actually its whole leaf. Its leaves are called leaflets. Scientist believed that malunggay evolved its leaves to capture more sunlight. Thus, evolution.
