✈️TRAVELLING TO BICOL, PHILIPPINES🇵🇭🌋

HEY THERE FELLOW STEEMIANS!

BICOL is a province in the Philippines famous for it’s active Mayon volcano, The Cagsawa Ruins, Pili Nuts, Laing and Bicol Express!

I come from a bloodline from Bicol and Sulu/Cebu, (stay tuned for my Cebu adventures!), my Dad from Bicol and my Mom from Sulu, making me 100% Filipino. I’m blessed to have both parents come from interesting parts of the country because I get to explore a lot of places in the Philippine archipelago.

THE CAGSAWA RUINS
These are remnants of a 16th century Franciscan church, formerly known as the Cagsawa Church. It was destroyed in the eruption of Mayon Volcano in 1814.

MAYON PLANETARIUM & SCIENCE PARK
Also know as the Virtual Mayon Simulation and Observatory Facility. The facility is situated 854 metres (2,802 ft) above sea level at the foot of the Mayon Volcano within the 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) permanent danger zone and was opened in March 2006.

ANOTHER OLD CHURCH IN A SECLUDED AREA
I didn’t get the name of this church but this particular church had no tourists and it is located inside a deep forest. Interesting enough, you can clearly see that it was buried.

PENSA’S INOROGAN CHAPEL
Climbing 160+ steps, this chapel is going to be worth it. With breathtaking views, this chapel also offers a place for solemn prayers due to it’s remote location.
