Yesterday we got word that we will have no electricity for the whole day due to maintenance work of the power lines in our area. Since there is nothing to do at home I jokingly ask my boyfriend if we can go to the beach and swim. Surprisingly, he agreed and told me to pack up my things so that we can go to his friend's beach resort.
It took us around two hours to travel. Upon getting there we were surprised that the resort was closed and there where no patrons around. Luckily he was able to contact his friend and we were allowed to use the facilities.
We had the whole resort for ourselves. No one was around to bother us. This is the second time I went to this beach. The first time we brought a speed boat and jet ski which spoiled our stay since half the time was spend trying to fixed the speed boat. This time around we just enjoyed swimming and each other's company and explored the beach. We also explored the surrounding areas.
The beach was not that big and we were able to explore the area in less than 2 hours. we also manage to go to the nearby beaches as well.
We didn't stay too long after a good afternoon swim we decided to go home. His aunt called him and he needed to go home immediately. It was a short trip but it was all worth it.

Sometimes losing power can be a blessing in disguise. Disconnecting from social media for a while can be a good way to connect with the people that matter
Come to think of it you're right we are so fixated in doing stuff online that we have forgotten how nice it is to enjoy each other's company in person not though the virtual world.
