Genesis 2:9(KJV), And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

THE TWO TREES IN THE GARDEN

The tree of life stood in the midst of the Garden of Eden as the ultimate representation of incorruptibility.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was the symbol of corruptibility (good can be susceptible to corruption.)

One of the greatest liberties for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden was the freedom to eat of the tree of life (Genesis 2:16).

The greatest loss to them was not their banishment from the Garden of Eden, it was being denied access to this tree (Genesis 3:22-24).

Adam and Eve’s biggest mistake was that they did not understand what the tree of life was and treated it as any other tree in the garden.

However, the devil knew this tree and its distinctive representation in the realm of eternity and the world of spirits.

In his cunningness, he was quick to introduce them to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil before they could eat from the tree of life.

He knew that were they to eat from the tree of life, they would have been incorruptible in nature.

God went ahead of the enemy when it came to you as a new creature in Christ.

You partook Christ, the tree of life before the devil would ever think of corrupting you.

For such, you have been “born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” (1 Peter 1:23).

Where you are concerned, the devil is too late. He knows that it is futile to try and feed you on the knowledge of good and evil when you partook Christ. You are incorruptible. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Genesis 3:22-24, Genesis 2:16

GOLDEN NUGGET: The devil is late where you are concerned. You partook of the Christ; the tree of life and are incorruptible.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for your Word. I can never be deceived by the enemy because the life I received in Christ came with the fullness of knowledge. This fullness gives me the stability in spirit to separate light from darkness and for such, I am truly incorruptible. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
