Our little way of celebrating 122nd years of Independence of our country - Philippines. We had a family dinner. We cooked some menudo and grilled pork belly for dinner.
The photo above is one of Filipino's favorite dish. It is pork menudo. Pork menudo is a Filipino pork stew dish with potatoes and carrots on it. Menudo dish is always present in any filipino restaurant or at any carenderia.
Another photo that you see above is what we call grilled pork belly. This is one of my and everyone's favorite dish too. Grilled pork belly is topped with fresh onions and soy sauce on it.
Aside from cooking some dish, we also had a painting lesson with our little girl.
Our little angel in the house. Literally, her name is Angel. She's 4 years old. At her early age, we taught her how to paint the Philippine Flag.
Thus, commemorating our 122nd years of independence means remembering and recognizing the pride and honor of our Filipino heroes.
