I wish they were. The deer would never allow me to have a bed of tulips. They LOVE to eat them and can find them even when I make an effort to hide and protect them.
No fence. And they are welcome to most of it! I'm just grateful there are a few plants they don't like ....like daffodils and iris. But no tulips or lilies for me. And hostas are deer salad.

I guess I would give them my flowers once, just to see them so close. I love animals and there are some I don't get to see so close 😊
I get to see them close on most days. I love them, too, but they do cause a lot of damage to the landscaping!
