Hi steemians! Today I will tell you a very special storytime about how I had my cat Titi
Please enjoy ! ! !
It was a Sunday, October 5, 2014 A day before, it was the world day for the rights of the animals, but in my city (Cumaná) they made the march the next day ...
My mom and I decided to go to the march because I was very interested in going. I remember it was a cloudy day with a desire to rain, but that did not stop people, the event also took place, we marched from the Virgen del Valle church, passing through the center of the city to the most popular church in the area ( Metropolitan Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Cumaná) where the tour culminated.
Then we had a reunion meeting in the Andrés Eloy Blanco square... It was a very emotional day because one there was where I met TITI A middle-aged girl who was present at the rally, was very desperate, approached asking for help with
something in her hands, it turns out that it was a small life of few to be born, she was a very premature... When she was approaching me I was really moved and I asked my mother to please accept it...
The person who walked and the woman who took the baton in this march, approached us, and she offered us help, she asked us to at least take care of her while they looked for her home ...
It was hard to ask my mother for permission, but it was worth it because she let me have her in "temporary home" ... What I did not imagine was that it could become more than a temporary home ...
Lindsay Patricia I called her ... I knew from experience that putting a name on her was silly because then I would be saddened to give her up for adoption ... I brought her home with me in a shoe box, where from the first night she was very well received.
Titi was still newborn, she had both eyes open, but they were still blinded ... Her weight was of terror, it was very thin that worried me a lot since I was being breastfed ... One of the saddest things was the way As they saved her, the girl who found her told us that she heard a lot of screaming on one of the sidewalks of the square and that when she saw her in the puddle and her scarce hair was barely distinguishable, what made her know where she was was her little meows ...
TITI since she got home that night had a very special connection with me, her name was Lindsay as I said before, but when I put her to walk and I said "TITITITITI" she came quickly to my voice ... And so we decided to nickname TITI.
The days passed and I can say that taking care of her was a very difficult responsibility, feeding her every three hours, moisturizing and stimulating her every time she ate, so that she could do the bath and all because of the little time she had, she could not help herself By herself.
I remember that I did not have time for anything, my day began in the mornings at about 5:00 a.m.
I prepared the milk, I served it in small containers like previously sterilized drippers, I heated water to give it a bath, I fed it and then I put it to sleep in its box with old shirts keeping a little heat and then I put it to sleeping, then it was my turn to get ready for school and before leaving home I stimulated and hydrated her and then put her to sleep again, in the mornings my mom used to help me and in the afternoons my sister, the nights and early mornings were mine ...
One day, when I returned from school in the afternoon, I noticed that Titi was dehydrated and I was alarmed because it was night, there was no light, and I did not know what else to do for her ... Everyone told me that because it was so small that it would last a little, and that he could even die for not having the heat of his mother cat.
I never ceased to have hope at any time, nor was she, a very strong child ... After a few hours she returned to normal and was able to live her life normally again...
That cat is my daughter, it's my life, I know her perfectly in every way, we love each other ... We can not live without the other and nobody ever could, nor can we separate
Thanks to God and to life we were able to move forward together in spite of everything ...
All my sleepless nights were worth it, now she is 3 years old, she is a healthy cat, very playful, attentive, audacious, docile and she will always be my baby ...
This storytime taught me that good people or animals come at unexpected times, no matter how strong your situation is. If you have the opportunity to adopt a puppy or a kitten, do it without thinking too much ...
Not only will you win a faithful heart, but that puppy or kitten will thank you eternally ...
Adopting is the best decision you can make, it means love and give them a new chance to live. That designed a lot of you.
