1. Cost
   Getting a new dog sometimes means adding additional child to the family, sometimes the expenses for the children and pets are much more similar, from food, vitamins, and maintenance. If you’re a responsible parent to your children then you have to be a responsible fur parents too.
   

2. Commitment
   Next is commitment getting a dog doesn’t mean that ones you can provide the basic needs, that’s it well that’s a big NO! Commitment in getting a dog also means responsibility of taking care of them and giving them love by showing they're part of the family. Dogs needs love and affection and when you give it to them then that’s a 100% sure they give you unconditional love.
   

3. Time
   Getting a pet means you have the responsibility to give them time. Give them a tummy rub, play with them, and bring them outside for walks.

4. Safety
   Dogs are considered as a man’s best friend, they bring joys to the family but you also need to consider the safety of your dog and your family. There are different types of dogs some are high in maintenance others are not, some dogs are aggressive and strong so make sure that you know the specific dog that you wanted most especially if you have kids at home.

5. Expect the unexpected
   Embrace furs all over you clothes, expect some things like plants, wires, socks, shoes, slippers and even underwear because dogs likes to dig, chew and tear things up. You can’t blame the dog because it’s what they do, make sure important things are unreachable so you won’t regret anything. Expect the unexpected.

Having a dog in family gives the children a sense of responsibility by letting them feed the dog, clean out the mess they made and training them. It’s a combination of a mess in happiness in having dogs at home when you’re tired from work they will be there to welcome you, cheer you up by wiggling there tail and kissing you till your mode turned the other way around.
