I'm pretty new to SteemIt but, since signing up, I've been trying to build a following and provide a unique and, hopefully, interesting perspective of tech news. My posts aren't often the 'feel good' type I see a lot here on SteemIt and my follower count and upvotes are growing at a slow rate but I am encouraged by the enthusiasm I see throughout the SteemIt community.
SteemIt isn't just a place to make money, though some of us seem to be making some serious bank. It's a place to be part of an amazing, caring, and involved community that truly care about important things like digital privacy, human rights, self-improvement, and other useful things. It's not the huge echo chamber that sites like Facebook and Reddit have become. Here, you can still make a real difference and you can make true friends.
So I wanted to take a few moments to just say 'thank you' to the SteemIt community for being so amazing. You've made an old blogger feel very welcomed and I hope that I can create useful content for you for a long time to come. I truly enjoy interacting with you guys and I look forward to what the future holds for all of us.
In Solidarity,
Anthony
It is going to be crazy when the site gets a facelift, just think of how any users are using this site with how ugly it is right now.
To think of what Steemit can and will become is super exciting! Is there a timeline as to when a revamp of the site is expected? I thought I saw something the other day but can't find it now. I'm assuming "soonish"?
Hi Anthony @papillion - I'm not exactly tech savvy but I'm trying to learn. Looking forward to reading more of your work. All best. You've got a new follower! :D
