Calvin Coolidge is one of my favorite presidents. While a man of few words, he made sure his words had power and wit. He eviscerated the national debt and presided over the roaring twenties. Some historians even cite that he cut back on the amount of toilet paper used at the White House and reporters balked at him when he forced them to bring their own pencils.
