Is the American dream gone?

in #pensions7 years ago

Chasing the dreams of a house, a good job, and a retirement leave me questioning. Is the housing market ripe to be sliced in half? Is the pension even properly funded? If not, why am I still at the job? Perhaps it's the meaning of work that is changing? Will robots replace my job? I don't know that specifics , but I can see what is coming. How do I prepare to retire in these circumstances? I think riding the waves of change with crypto currencies and investing in new technologies seems like the best strategy. What do you think?

you're not alone on your thoughts... although i think now would be a good time to invest in cryptos

Start looking around for an alternative income source. There are plenty of options available if someone is willing to work. Don't put your future in someone elses hands.

I feel the same way as you do.

Im guessing from your nic your a realtor? As am I for the last 30 years. The future of the agents role seems to be under attack daily from tech start ups offering to 'streamline' the selling process, and its starting to catch on now it seems. Im more and more interested in crypto's as an investment myself. Its fascinating! Im waiting for blockchain tech to enter the real estate space next.
