Summer is almost over and I'm making it count!
This is my 27" Nickel Comic Fusion Penny Skateboard which I regularly use as my transport when the weather permits (and yes, mostly when I go to work). Compared to traditional skateboards, this type of skateboard run on 59mm, 83A wheels with Abec 7 bearings attached to a 4-inch aluminum trucks which gives the board a smoother and faster ride as well as giving the skater more control for turns depending how loose your trucks are. Simply put, a cruiser skateboard like the longboard skateboards those downhill skaters use but shorter.
Playing with a 27" deck is a bit tricky since you only have enough space to mount on and your center of gravity is reduced which relatively makes it hard to balance specially when you are used to 32" or longer decks. The catch is that they are pretty handy and can be attached to backpacks that has adaptable skate straps.
I suggest that you get your Tetanus needles because every now and then you will fall. Some abrasions here and there but it's all part of the game. For starters, I really suggest wearing a helmet and knee/elbows pads - always safety first!
