Things are chugging along from my understanding. people are just impatient.
Peerplays is on track. Things will happen but not in one day, you can always refer to their timeline. And if you would like to be part of the daily discussion and one of the first ones "in the know" you can join the peerplays telegram channel at: https://web.telegram.org/#/im?p=@Peerplays And as far as the price goes, it's just supply and demand and it also seems that people are reluctant using the 2 small exchanges and most are waiting on the Open Ledger to open up the trading on BitShares DEX.
