HERE WE GO! PUBLIC BETA OF HELMBET RPS IS UP AND RUNNING!

in #peerplays7 years ago (edited)

The first really big milestone for PeerPlays finally arrived and the public beta was released! I waited so much for this and I hope PeerPlays will finally be taken seriously. PeerPlays is another cryptocurrency based on Graphene technology, same as STEEM or BitShares. The games should be with Unity 3D graphics and on the blockchain, which sounds awesome!

Can't really say much more about the game, because I haven't tried it yet, but below I will be updating my post after I will know more. They said that the public beta release will be published on 12th September 12:00 AM UTC, but it was not. The site was refreshing, but there was no button to download anything.

That appeared less than 50 minutes ago!

HelmBet is the real-time interactive gaming and digital currency betting and is powered by Peerplays, the peer-to-peer fair blockchain based casino without any house edge and possibility to earn share on the profits that the network collects and where you will be able to deposit and play with a lot of cryptocurrencies.

Let's play!

This is what you will see after you start the program.

What you have to do is to create a new PPY testnet account here http://paperwallet.ppytest.com and use 22 symbols as a password when registering a new account.

There is some kind of bug that if you do less than 22 symbols it will not let you login to HelmBet. You also can't forget to register the account!

It's probably just me, but it looks like I can't get past the login screen. I tried everything and I also was on the PeerPlays telegram, but nothing helped. I will have to wait for the next update.

It worked for @ash, another steemian, and you can see his full gameplay here https://steemit.com/dtube/@ash/xneeggo3

Have you managed to get in? What do you think about it? Maybe my expectations were little bit high for a project like this, but it is still in a very early beta and a lot of things can change. See you soon!

Thank you!

Thank you dowha!

Hey @eirik, I've been looking into PPY a lot today, I've even downloaded the program to see what it's all about. But, I can't see a way to transfer any PPY into my account.

Is this because it is in Beta? I'd like to get myself a few PPY tokens, but I'm not really keen on leaving them on an exchange.

Maybe there is some way to get them into PeerPlays? Or, can they be stored in some kind of wallet that I haven't seen?

Thanks for your time! Best of luck with Helm Bet!

Hi @futuristgear! You can download the ppy core wallet on their github! There is a fully functioning blockchain and GUI, but the rps game has not yet been integrated to it yet as it's still in beta testing.

Hey @jburr-witness, thanks for taking the time to respond.

I've got the PP Core working on my machine, but the only option I'm seeing regarding balances is a "send" function. What I was wondering was; if I buy PPY on an exchange, how do I send it to my Peer Plays account? Because I can't see anywhere to do so.

I'm probably just missing something! :-P

Hey futuristgear,

Yes, because of the beta. I think you could leave them on exchange, but really depends which one you are using. Have you heard of decentralized exchange called OpenLedger? You can hold your PPY here till the final launch. Nobody can touch your coins here except you.

Good luck! :)

Ah okay! That explains it, thank you @eirik!

I will use BitShares/OpenLedger for sure. :-)

So when do we get a share of the profits every day I look I don't see anything added

This is just a beta and a test-net. You are not playing with the real PPYs.

Sound exciting especially if you can earn a share of the profits if you're not big on gambling.

True, but this is just a test-net so for a real release we will have to wait a little bit more. :)

great post like it and upvoted!!

such a cool logo!

I agree, it's a very nice one.

Thanks for the info. I must try this!
