Modern living and the 'rush' often tire us physically and mentally. Many of us speak of peace and try to find ways to 'get' it. Courses, online apps, and 'Gurus' declare that they are the solution and demand huge fees for magically removing stress. If you have joined some such course or yoga workshop, you will know what I am writing about.
I had joined a 'free' yoga session a few months back and at the end of the session, they were all about joining an advanced course for a fee. They did teach how to practice beginner yoga but the fee seemed a bit too much for a few classes online.
Where can one find peace?
Peace is the absence of discontentment, anger, ego, mental burdens, worries, and the list goes on. Once you start removing the above one by one, you are peaceful. One does not need to practice hours of meditation or pay a therapist to obtain peace. It is always there. You just have to navigate away from the above and remain equanimous at all times.
If you are hurt by another individual, you keep on thinking about this hurt and converse with yourself and ultimately you lose your peace, right? The best thing is to forget about such a moment and try to forgive and forget and move on. It would also be good to speak frankly with that particular individual and try to resolve the differences instead of avoiding contact and growing the hurt that could then develop into hate and continue for years.
Peace is not something that can be bought. It has to be worked for. A peaceful person will have a pleasant expression and speak softly. Such people will always be welcome anywhere and their smiles will be radiant. Observe children who are always happy. They will have no fear of failure and they will not worry. Try spending time with peaceful people and you will understand the difference between peace and chaos.

I agree with the peace part, thinking about people that hurt us will only take away our peace of mind, we are hurting our self more, the best thing to do is let go of the grudges.
Thank you Burl 😊
Life can get so overwhelming with school, social media, and expectations, and it feels like peace is hard to find.
