It's absolutely wonderful to see all the excitement and enthusiasm that has been generated by the contest. When you first approached me with this a few months ago, I knew it would work out, but I had no idea how well. So much support from so many great people. Glad I am a part of it all. Here we go again :) I'm glad you made the @pifc too! Are you going to start hosting the contest through that account or keep it on yours? I never thought to ask that on Discord :)
I notice as the weeks go on, the entries get better. Last week was a difficult choice for me; there were so many great posts that I got to see. I'm hoping that more and more people drop their entry link here, but also take the time to visit the others as well. That is what this is all about, isn't it?!
The idea will be to move the contests over to this account. By doing this I can give the posting key to someone else if I need a week break for a vacation or something...might have to lean on the longest standing judge at that point.
But I don't want to do this until there is enough SP in the account to make votes that matter. Figure if we keep all SBD earned from comments and power up posts over a few week period of time we can then lease some delegations.
Also @bjgeese has offered to match 100% of non paid delegations given to this account up to 500sp at no cost. Think of a 100% matching donation basically. His only rule was the delegations can't come from the judges or myself. It needs to be other supporters. This alone would really help boost the account.

I bought @pifc 10 SBI shares and was waiting until that processed. They are running a little behind as Joe is about to have a baby and been trying to get things ready. It's not a ton, but that extra vote seemed worth waiting for in my mind. Figure that I will do a few posts per week until we get the account powered up.
I was not hanging around waiting for this post to upvote it. I was lucky. I should have my entry in by this afternoon or early tomorrow morning. Have followed the new account as well.
What is a bounty exactly?
A bounty is money sent to a post to be distributed to the users commenting on it. It provides a way to reward users directly and works in addition to the steem/sbd they receive from the blockchain. It works independently of SteemPower.
You create a bounty by sending any amount of sbd/steem to @steem-bounty together with a post-url in the memo.
How can I earn a bounty Users are then competing for the bounty by writing their answers to the post in comments that will achieve upvotes from the community and especially the bounty creator. The money of the bounty gets distributed to all top level comments of the post at the same time when the post is paid out (7 Days after it was written). How much everyone gets depends on the votes the comments received. The sender of the bounties votes are weighted higher so that she decideds where 80% of the bounty money goes and all other votes determine the rest.@thedarkhorse has set 3.000 SBD bounty on this post!@steem-bounty does all of this for you automatically. You can use this service to automatically pay out a challenge, ask a hard question or simply to reward the people that interact with you.

Part of why I want to power up the @pifc account (that is it needs upvotes!) is so down the road we can start adopting the newbies who are featured and also the curators and get people up to preset SP amounts.
Goal is to actually create a few accounts for this effort. Those who submit entries will get adopted based on the quality of those they featured as that shows the level of effort put into the contest. They will get upvotes on every post for one week until the following entry. This is assuming they use all earnings to power up.
What we really need are a few delegations from some whales or steemit inc to make this effort happen in a big way. But for right now we will keep self funding with the goal of reaching a point where we are able to achieve the goals.
Might be time for a roadmap type post so people can see the bigger picture.

Can only do so much, can't write their posts for them. To earn on steemit you really do need to be blogging. If not the earning potential goes way down.
Even if they blog 1 or 2 times during the week it will be an extra vote they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. This will be down the road and nothing is finalized so once we get closer to being able to release this we will have some open discussions to allow people to give ideas.

Dust Votes.@soumon If it's a "great contest" why not support it with an upvote instead of only voting on your own comment? Do you realized your self vote is doesn't even payout? Steemit erases small votes and makes them a zero payout, they are called
So to make your vote actually count and to be a much better steemian use your votes to reward others on their posts (not comments) as the payout is cumulative and small votes count on posts if they break the dust threshold.

Oh I say very clearly in the post that I am only upvoting the entries to the contest as the bounty is here to reward them, donors, and judges. So I am doing exactly as I say. I didn't visit your post, comment, and only upvote myself. That is not considered good behavior and a great way to get yourself flagged on bounty posts.
