Passive made possible

in #passive3 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone its th3pr1nc3 here! just wanted to talk today a little bit about my personal experience in splinterlands which led me to an amazing service that has changed my experience with splinterlands and how it may be an opportunity for you going forward.

I'm just a very small fish in a large splinter pond looking to make my way up the ladder and maybe one day receive something meaningful for my time and attention. I have been playing since october of last year and I was grinding bronze diligently for quite some time. For a while it was obvious that i might have a tough time receiving something for my time and attention but I just liked to play at first. A few months ago I was sort of forced to liquidate crypto assets due to financial changes in my life, however, since it had been clear to me that I needed to actually put some money into the game I decided that I would take some of those funds and transfer them into the game. In doing so, I bought quite a few packs and I was lucky enough not to pay the price for my non understanding of the most logical way to spent that money which of course would usually be buying cards out right.. in terms of CP anyways.

The game became a lot more fun, my DEC earned per battle became substantially higher, my SPS airdrop went way up, etc... weaving my way through the game I started to realise that I had been missing out a lot by not participating in tournaments so I began to participate and found my way into the YGG discord by becoming a part of a sub YGG guild. At the time I had been earning approximately 100-150 DEC/ day from just battling and i was not doing very well in tournaments while holding about 100k CP. Within the discord I stumbled across a service provided by a YGG member that holds a purpose of effortless rentals. I'm not much of a numbers guy and I had been contemplating if it were worth playing gold 3, or playing silver 1 and just renting out the extra CP as I had noticed the last days before EOS become extremely expensive from a consumer standpoint. I decided I would just go for it and rent out about 20k CP through the rent golem and just see what that would do for me. Id have to say i'm very happy with my decision as the service is amazing. The DEC pool has seemed a lot smaller since then so I would say it was perfect timing, and although its impossible for me to know if this is the right decision when considering price appreciation of the chests im giving up from both daily and EOS, im earning more than ever and not having to dedicate so much time to the game in order to receive enough DEC to convert to cards.

last season I earned approximately 5k DEC from doing nothing but allowing the service to manage my rentals. which was way more than I was able to receive from playing the game with 80k CP.. not a lot I know, but thats with approximately $250 worth of cards and I am putting all allocated DEC into more cards in order to compound my earnings which is pretty much the only work I have to do

I realise that im throwing out laughable numbers.. but if you have the CP, or means of buying cards simply to rent, it just may be a lot more profitable than buying a rental property which is the most amazing thing to me, passive income nowadays isn't always so passive and this tool has made that possible from a video game. cant wait to come back and post about some sort of meaningful progress in a couple months. Thanks for reading and I hope this may help fellow splinterland players/ investors
