Storytelling: My Passion

Greetings my name is Braden Parks and I am a storyteller.

Storytelling, whether I have realized it or not, has always been my passion. From a very young age, I told everyone that I wanted to be a storyteller. I even thought of going to school over in Europe just to learn its artform.

Recently, I was encouraged by friends of mine to join the Steemit community. They said it would give me a more accessible way in which to give my voice while listening to the voice of others. This is the reason I have joined this ever-growing community.

The problem in following your passions is the reality of vulnerability.

In the past few months, I have started taking steps to following my storytelling passions. I have joined a local theater group, a talent organization, singing in public and started my own DJ company. Life has never been this challenging. Vulnerability always finds a way to worm into the places of our greatest dreams and aspirations. It knows that in these areas it has the power to can destroy and devastate us.

There is hope in the midst of vulnerability. There are others who are beginning to join the movement of following their passions no matter the cost. I, for one, want to be a beacon of encouragement for those who are brave enough to live into their vulnerability and live out their God given passions.

Storytelling and encouragement will be the focus of this profile.
