We all know, there is nothing better than having a cool boss, am I right? So this post is going to be about him, because he did something, that most people wouldn't even consider.
You see, he built a business, a restaurant to be exact, but it's not just any restaurant, it's Carlos Kitsch'en. Carlos is my boss' name, and “kitsch” means in german, to ''collect something not usable''.
He created a space for ex-criminals to resocialize and begin a new life. Some of them have been behind bars, and some others he tries to save before they get to that point. He gives them trust. A place where they have an everyday life, so they don't go back to their old environments with drugs and criminality. The boys there break down the stereotype many people have about criminals INSTANTLY. They are all so sweet, kind-hearted people, and they are indeed something special, just like my boss.
They remind me of how easy my life has been, and that I could have been doing a lot worse than I am, because these boys didn’t have much chance in life - before now!
When he started the restaurant, he said he would not stop before it was a success- even if it meant putting his life at risk. It’s still a struggle getting it to run, but that doesn’t matter to him. What matters to him, are the people working there, giving themselves a better life.
