Now that we know that there are organisms (such as the tardigrade) that can survive in space for a long time, regarding the fact that there are asteroids flying through space, knowing that there are bacteria flourishing in seemingly poisonous environments, knowing that there's plenty of water on several planets and moons throughout our planetary system and beyond, I can't reject to take this idea half seriously.

I also heard a scientist saying that banana are the octopus of the plant world, they just don't fit into the rest of plant life that produces fruit - spreading itself without using/having seeds. Think about it,...
