Got one that completely stressed and wigged me out. My son was still an infant, around 3-5 months old. He had been running a fever mid 90's for a couple days. Infant tylenol wasn't helping much. So of course I'm overly worried about my little one.
One night when I put him down to sleep after bringing it down around 90. Roughly 1 am he awakes up, as infants do, screaming. I freaked out waking up from my dead sleep hearing him. I rushed to his crib and quickly picked him up. Put him on my shoulder and patted his back. Softly saying "Ssshhh, it's okay" repeatedly. Only to feel he his burning up after he calmed down. Took his temperature once again. Running a potentially deadly high of 102. Completely freaked out I rush into my mom's room and woke her up. Telling her "We gotta go to the hospital now. Claudio's running a 102 fever." with a few tears rolling down my face. Overwhelmed with the fear my son might overheat.
Getting to hospital they hasted us to a bed in the ER. Quickly a doctor came in and done the routine questions as I filled out the paperwork. Few minutes later they brought him meds to bring it down. Hour or so later his fever ceased to exist and he smiled about grabbing his feet. Definitely the most stressful and fearing day as a parent.

Try reformating this so it's easier to read. Take whatever brackets you have around the story off and replace them with "*"
Also, you should pretty much always use a picture with your posts. They will grab more attention that way. To find free pictures to use, do a google image search, then sort by "labeled for reuse"
Also, you can use up to 5 tags. I'd use #writing and #life for your other 2
One last piece of advice, change your title to something like "Parent Challenge Entry - My parenting horror story"
Not really sure you mean by "*". Since it is dialogue taking place. Have an image but this phone is strange and won't pet me save it to the phone. Image of him that same night playing with his feet. Really not sure how to make it better. I mean it's differently than looking inside a book and reading. Maybe it looks different on a pc than on a phone, if you used one.
It does look very weird on mobile. Did you say you have it in qoutes?
I guess just using * is weird for me. When I think writing a story, I think actually writing in the exact same as you would in a book. Quotation marks are used for dialogue so that is why they are being used. I get it that in many things * are used to indicate or produce dialogue. But can't say I've ever once seen it writing, story wise.
The * is to italicize. Thought thats what you were doing. It's in a weird block that I have to scroll right to finish reading
Ah okay that makes way more sense. Had me thinking you had no idea how to write lol. But yeah I see what you mean by scrolling right. Didn't even notice it. So * will fix that?
No. What do you have around that block of text? Do you have it in " or ''
