ART EXPLOSION WEEK 82: Theme PSYCHEDELICS
I begin by congratulating @juliakponsford by conceiving and curating this interesting contest as Art Explosion, whose bases are here. In my opinion this is the most important of the Visual Arts contests in the whole Steemit platform in terms of the power to convene participants, most of whom participate with high quality work and which has very generous prizes.
The challenge of this, the week 82, is to creating an artwork under the infinite sky with diamonds that Psychedelic word seems.
Reading about French philosopher Jacques Derrida, who talks about Deconstructing things, words and ideas, it occurred to me that a DECONSTRUCTED DOG could be used to participate. Philosophically psychedelic, didn't it?
"DECONSTRUCTED DOG" - Step by step.
As I always said, I'm not a professional illustrator but an improvised amateur. So I won't give a great explanation, technically speaking, on how I got to the result that I share with you today. I will only briefly describe the steps through which I arrived at the final finish of my GIF artwork:
I did this little exercise of artistic exploration using this resources:
1.-Exploring with the free software http://artbreeder.com appeared an image of something that seems like a dog:
2.-Then I took from some page the image of a cat tongue:
3.-Then I was working the images with the free software http://firealpaca.com/ editing them and making a sequence of images to create a physical but not philosophically impossible dog:
4.-After creating a series of images intervened with FireAlpaca, I took them to https://giphy.com/ to convert them into a GIF that I could share in the www.
The final result, which I show at the beginning of this post, tries to create a philosophical joke and and contemporary interpretation of Psychedelic art.
