RE: Can a post that is produced on palnet.io or tagged with #palnet earn more USD in PAL than STEEM?

in #palnet6 years ago

I ask myself this a lot, particularly after friends tell me they are powering down because holding SP is of no benefit to them. I don't fully agree with this, but have a tough time arguing the point.

Please try. I’m honestly curious, even if it’s just an argument from emotion.

Sort:

I've cast something like 3 self-votes in the past year, and a lot of my support comes from utopian-io and accounts that unlikely care about my stake 'to return the favour'. With curation at 25%, the earnings here are pretty low, even with a reasonable 15k SP, and so would I have been much better off just permanently selling earnings to the market these past 18 months - very much so.

Emotion is part of the reason I've taken the option to hold as much as possible in SP :)

To me, STEEM Power is Steemit, Inc.'s token. Steemit, Inc.'s "Mission / Vision / Values" do not align with their so-called "thrive" message. If you read that about page, that's only about survival. The core of Steemit, Inc. should be to make STEEM Power the focus. If it's not doing that, it's not worth investing in STEEM Power.

And that's up to them. If they don't care about STEEM Power, why should I?

The core of Steemit, Inc. should be to make STEEM Power the focus.

I agree with this, and that it's not happened via developments over the past couple of years. SMT could be the one, if they appear.....

And thanks for the RS!
