Al-Juthoor, meaning “roots” in Arabic, is the sole group in the bay area of the traditional dance, dabke, representing the indigenous of Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and portions of Jordan and Iraq.

An afternoon of uplifting Palestinian communities. Cultural performances, an oral history project, and children’s activities. Kick off to the week commemorating the 70th anniversary of Al Nakba (The Catastrophe) and ongoing resistance to colonial occupation.
