Excuse me for multiple posts in a day but I couldn't help writing this post.
The temperature has been dropping below freezing in Germany for several days now. In some areas, weather warnings have even been issued. During times like this, icy roads can be dangerous.
Few hours ago, my partner slipped and fell while picking up our daughter 😢 He broke the fall with his hands, so fortunately it wasn’t a serious injury, but it looks still painful. His smartphone he was holding also took a hit—the corner of the camera cracked. He bought it not so long ago, which makes it feel even more pity ... I wish he can take rest and recovers soon.
I had a similar experience almost three years ago in Linz, Austria. I fell badly on an icy road and bruised my lower back. I was unsteady for a while afterward. I was out alone early in the morning, but luckily someone passing by in a car kindly gave me a ride.
That’s what made me want to write this post.
Whether you’re in Germany or anywhere else where temperatures are dropping, even if you’re “just walking,” please don’t let your guard down—watch out for icy roads and take care.
It can be treacherous out there. I've slipped over before. Take care.
Oh no... I wish you didn't have severe injury 🥲🙏
I've not had a serious accident.
