What is Education?

The demonstration or procedure of bestowing or obtaining general learning, building up the forces of thinking and judgment, and by and large of setting oneself up or others mentally for develop life.

Pakistan Education:

Pakistan Education is overseen by the Federal Ministry of Education and provincial government, whereas the federal government mostly assists in curriculum development, accreditation and in the financing of research and development. Article 25-A of constitution of Pakistan obligates the state to provide free and compulsory quality education to children of the age group 5 to 16 years. "The State shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years in such a manner as may be determined by law".

There are six phase or stages of education system in Pakistan are as fellows:

  1. Preschool (for the age from 3 to 5 years)
  2. Primary (grades one through five)
  3. Middle (grades six through eight)
  4. High (grades nine and ten, leading to the secondary school certificate or SSC)
  5. Intermediate (grades eleven and twelve, leading to a higher school certificate or HSSC)
  6. University programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The literacy rate of pakistan in 2001-2 is 45% and 2004-5 is 53% and 2007-08 is 56%, 2011-12 is 58% and 2013-17 is also 58%. This is not acceptable, because the total target to improve literacy rate in all over the world is 88%.

This is not hard task for Pakistan. Pakistan can achive this target by focusing on some isues like Lack of knowledge, Education system difference, Lack of technical education, Absence of teacher, and Miss use of Fund.

Pakistan Education issue:
1. Lack of knowledge.

Both parents and teacher are have not enough knowledge.

2. Education system.

Private and government sectors have different education system.

3. Lack of technical education.

Due to lack of technical persons that will delivered technical education

4. Untrained teachers.

The teachers are untrained and don,t know the how to teach.

5. Absence of teacher.

Teachers not come daily basis.

6. Miss use of Fund.

The higher department or staff miss use the fund of education means lot of corruption.
