The grain of sand...

in #painting7 years ago

... Vlada Mirkovic's man, or better,that
live-coal of metaphysical fire that atavistic
apparition, that human substitution with
depersonalized face without eyes, looks as if he
was drawn into an intrigue of sand and time
by mistake. Lonely and excluded, illuminated
with gloomy mercurial light in it's Faust- like
cell, he is incapable of organizing his constructions.
Mirkovic's man neither makes an effort to leave
the room, the cell, nor wants to conquer infinity.
He is simply anchored in sand, that Manifesto-like
symbol of infinity on the very threshold of the heart realm,
death realm that Zohar interprets as the divine kiss.
... According to the legend, the number of sand grains,
that most exact material equals the sins that a man
relieves from and the number of years he prays for.
Sand is not the subtle thing that purifies as fire for Vlada Mirkovic,
but it symbolizes infinity and strengthens the feeling
that a man plunged in it is deprived of his own essence...

Excellent piece of art!

Thanks , aci7..

Glad to have stumbled upon you and your incredible work here.

Challenging, dark and thought provoking paintings with incredible skill. (I wonder what medium you use?)

Myself an Artist my paintings, which are very subtle - white on white , do not photograph well and so, to date, I have only posted my digital collages here on Steemit.

I am also a writer and lightworker and speak to spirit.

I invite you to pass by mine if you have a spare moment and perhaps are mildly intrigued.

Happy creative days.
