OPPO has finally launched a new Find-series flagship smartphone that is long due. The all-new Find X has been in the rumors mills from last few months. The OPPO Find X is now officially unveiled at an event held in Paris, France. There is also a Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition Smartphone with Super VOOC flash charge technology. The Lamborghini Edition with 50W (10V/5A) Super VOOC flash charge can be fully charged in just 35 minutes.

With the OPPO Find X, the company is stepping its foot in North America and Europe. The 3D curved glass on the front and rear also makes the device look premium. However, the glass body also makes the device fingerprint and smudge magnet. By looking at the device, you can’t find cameras anywhere on the device. On the camera app is opened, both the single front camera and dual rear cameras will be sliding out.

While the sliding cameras (a.k.a stealth 3D cameras) look interesting, we have no clue how this mechanism works after a few months of usage. The Find X is backed by a 3,730mAh non-removable battery and supports standard VOOC flash charge technology that gives 2 hours of usage time with just 5 minutes of charging. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo-based custom ColorOS 5.1 AI intuitive system.

After launching a few budget devices without a fingerprint sensor, the company now decided to leave out the fingerprint sensor even on its latest flagship smartphone. The 3D facial recognition technology called O-Face uses the flood illuminator, Infrared camera, ranging sensor, receiver, dot projector, and front camera to make it more secure than the fingerprint sensor. The face unlock feature can also be used for making secure payments.

Apart from fingerprint scanner, the Find X also lacks the wireless charging support and IP certification. The 25MP selfie camera can capture 3D AI selfie using the data from O-Face and also includes 3D portrait lighting. OPPO also introduced Omojis, the company version of Apple’s Animojis. On the rear, the device sports 16MP + 20MP dual camera with OIS support and includes AI scene detection feature. The dual sensors on the rear are mentioned to offers AI portrait mode along with 3D lighting.

Talking about the hardware, the device comes with a 6.42-inch dual curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution nad 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Find X’s 93.8% screen-to-body ratio is also the highest we have ever seen on any retail smartphone. The bottom chin on this device measures just 3.4mm thickness. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal storage.

The OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition Smartphone with 512GB storage and Super VOOC flash charge technology costs EUR 1699 (approx $1999 / Rs 1,34,000).
