People who know Steemit and D.Tube are loving this concept.
- Getting paid for publishing content. Getting payed by using this content.
For me as an Content Creator (Software Programmer, Indie Game Developer) its hard to get paid for what i love. What are my options?
Well there is:
- Using annoying Ad Banner or Ad Videos and force my users to watch scam - Not a good user experience
- Force people to pay for content. Who likes to pay for casual games or small apps? no one
- Make my games as hard as possible - so the players need to buy virtual goods (In-App-Purchases) to make the game playable? - WTF? Really?
None of those are good options at all!
Ok, i could create an donation button in my app. But be honest? Who of you did ever donate to a game or software? Well, i did a few days ago, but only because i know how hard it is to monetize free content.
Another Option could be: Creating an Patreon Account and beg for money to do what i love. Well, thats quite an fair business model. But for Software? It's the same like a donation. Did you really ever donate to an OpenSource Software? Or a Mobile Game?
I would really appreciate to have an App Store to publish my games and apps on it. For Playing the Game the users could get Steemit and for me as a publisher too. Like on D.Tube!
The Same thing could be possible with an OpenSource Platform. Publishers get their Steem for each download of their opensource software. Really. The World does not need anymore Closed Source Projects.
What do you guys think about this idea?
PS: Please excuse my english... Its 18 years ago i had english in school :D
