Open Source Technology is a passion for many software developers and an emerging industry that the FundRequest blockchain platform was created to empower and incentivize. FundRequest allows projects to reward open source developers for solving their software requests with a monetary bounty set into a smart contract in a decentralized marketplace, via GitHub.
Now, FundRequest is introducing the Arkane Network to their community - an open network for building blockchain applications. First and foremost, Arkane was developed for the FundRequest platform so that all users have access to a multi-blockchain wallet, which was essential due to the fact that rewards are paid in various cryptocurrency. The second priority was to ensure it was easy-to-use, no matter the users level of experience with cryptocurrency.
Upon developing Arkane however, and in line with FundRequest’s core belief in offering free and useful services to the open source community, it was decided to make the software available to third party applications so they may integrate the network into their systems and build upon it.
You may be wondering, what is Arkane exactly? Arkane is both a multi-asset wallet and an open network that connects several blockchains, wallets and DApps to integrate with one another as part of the Arkane ecosystem. The basic functionality allows crypto users to manage all wallets from one convenient interface, gain a clear overview of all wallet activity with notifications, transfer crypto to any individual, and free access to a network of DApps with built in Arkane support.
Developers can leverage and build upon Arkane to develop their own multi-blockchain applications with automatic wallet creation for their users, via access to SDKs and APIs, and the ability to use the Arkane Truffle provider for easy contract deployment. Furthermore, Arkane eliminates the need for 3rd-party browser extensions such as Metamask, with a built-in chrome extension currently in development.
A number of blockchain projects are now integrating the Arkane network into their systems, which offers them an additional gateway to the FundRequest Network in support of their own ecosystems. The announcement of these projects will be made public by the team in the coming weeks as the official release of Arkane is expected to go live mid-October, pending all security requirements being cleared.
FundRequest are paving the way for open source development, by connecting projects to developers, rewarding them and streamlining the way in which projects can be built. Furthermore, projects can be made universally interoperable between ecosystems through implementing Arkane into their businesses, DApps and networks, which will ultimately encourage and support the growth of the entire blockchain industry.
