Very cool of you to pay tribute to Tom. I met and got to hang out with him one night. Maybe I should do a post about it.
So cool! Yeah, I'd enjoy reading about your first-hand encounter. The one time I saw him in concert, I was high as a kite. Mushroom night! ;) I have a feeling that'd be A-OK with the man who brought us "Last Dance With Mary Jane." Am I right?
I'n not sure. The night I hung out with him we had a lot of good weed and wine. He passed on the weed but did enjoy some wine and we played guitars all night.
What an awesome experience that must've been. Jeesh! You're like a living legend. Just the other day I just started watching a documentary about Tom Petty, called "Runnin Down A Dream." Really fun to see the personality he shows in his interviews – much the same as we can hear in his songs.
