My crypto gaming experience for 2021. The new strategy for people with $0 investment and what I have learned

For the new year, one of the things I promised myself was to write more posts and help as many people as I can to get started in the NFT gaming/Web3 thing so you can expect to see me more often here. I hope you find my posts useful!

Almost 1 year ago in February, I started my blockchain gaming ventures with $0 in my wallet and in my previous post on some other platforms (I will share the updated version here soon) you can read my story and how much my value increased over the months (Total a bit over $25k in October). Since then, it has increased substantially but let's leave the numbers for the next post

In this post, as the first one for the year, I will focus primarily on how to earn consistently rather than show you numbers (I promise I will do numbers-focused posts again). First of all, don’t get scammed! Stay away from rug pulls, look out for red flags, discord servers full of bots and no engagement, unknown developers/teams who you can’t even reach, etc. If you invest in such projects you most probably will lose your investment. We don’t want that. Try to always research as much as you can, engage with the community, read their whitepaper and make an informed investment. Also, try to always calculate and write down your risk/reward in every project. I am the type of guy to make spreadsheets for everything and it helps me be more organized (You should do it too, otherwise it gets too overwhelming at some point).

Time > Money?

Some might not agree with this but my experience this year tells me that sometimes it is better to have more spare time to find the projects, be active and helpful in the community and then get some benefits like a whitelist, private sales and even free mints. When you have money it sometimes is impossible to buy if everything is selling out in seconds on public sale. I have had this issue several times and can say I have won the most from the projects I put the most time in and not the most money.
Now for the hot investment opportunities. I will break them down into what you guys are able to invest rather than what is the minimum to invest right now for each project and give recommendations and also a new updated plan to start with $0 and make your way up just like I did and many others that approached me for advice. I think this will help a lot more. Some of you even surpassed me by a lot and I am really happy about that. Carloshmerino who DMed me to get some advice on how to start after one of my posts is doing the best so far and is closer to the million than me :D (Idk maybe he even made it). He was really passionate and hard working so he deserves every penny.

(The post will get too long again so I will not include info on games I have reviewed before but just list them and will leave the bigger research on you)

$$$ Big investment $500–1000+

Heroes of Mavia — A game inspired by Clash of Clans with thrilling graphics. It will be one of my top picks this year and I plan to invest heavily in land to be able to play and share profits with my friends on other lands. You can use it as a passive income source as well. They have a really good tokenomics plan so hopefully, it is a game that is long hold worthy! It will launch in Q3 this year but you can get whitelisted now and buy land soon.

Crypto Unicorns — For some time the female audience couldn’t find a game other than Axie infinity with cute NFTs to play. Now you can, crypto unicorns has insanely cute unicorn NFTs which you can breed and race. You need just land to farm but unicorns will make farming more efficient and allow you to enter the other game modes. Releasing this year

Crypto Guards — Pretty much passive income, with 5 clicks a day you get 1/10 of your investment. It is a high-risk high-reward clicker game, for now, that will have it’s gameplay released soon but the devs are serious and have 2 other games crypto planes and crypto cars but crypto guards is their newest and most promising imo. The other 2 were paying out as much as $2500 a DAY to some of my friends with less than $1000 investment so hopefully, crypto guards can do it again. I am earning about $40 a day for now.

Big Time — One of the top games that will be released this year. To earn you will need to buy space. They are selling from $500 to $34000 each and it is best to have a few to be able to build more on them.

Dehero — 100% passive income. Just buy cards and stake them, make combos to earn higher APY. There will be a TCG soon with actual gameplay and this should increase the cards’ prices. The more you invest the more APY you get and I not recommend getting in with a small investment here because the roi will be much longer.

Bomb Crypto — Buying 15 heroes now costs $360 and that is the max you can use to farm passively. It has been one of the best earners for me so far. 15 heroes will also allow you to play Adventure mode in 2 weeks.

Splinterlands — Covered in previous post but the idea is buy cards and rent them out for 100% passive income + daily SPS airdrops. Or play and earn more.

Thetan Arena (Legendary or epic heroes) — Released and covered in previous post

League of Ancients — 5v5 MOBA game covered before

Illuvium — AAA game covered before

Guild of Guardians — Game covered in previous post

Basically any game by Gala Games — Many games that require substantial investment but I think they are one of the top studios so it is worth checking out their games. They are even in collaboration with The Walking Dead to create a game and with a studio that has worked on Call of Duty and Halo to create FPS game called Last Expedition.

$$ Medium investment (around $100)

Champions Ascension — Insane graphics, really well-thought economics and a game I am really looking forward to! It will be released in Q1. For now, the info we have is that Prime Eternals (NFTs) will be worth a lot to mint but will have a large array of perks and access. They will never be minted again so don’t miss the chance to get whitelisted now. Regular Champions are what you can build later and are more for accessible gameplay and will thus have fewer perks. Can mint more via breeding. It can also move to big Investment depending on the price of Prime Eternals.

Crystal Kingdoms — Really good graphics but the game is not really dynamic (for now) However, it is a fun board game to pass the time while the full-fledged MMORPG is being developed. This is a great project to get early on and you will need just 1 hero to play and you can earn daily. The board game is coming in a few days and it is already on test net so you can try it for free right now.

Gates of Eternity — Another really good looking AR game with the best looking NFTs I have seen so far. It is releasing in Q3 and whitelisting is going on right now.

Axes Metaverse — They had an off-chain game for a while and now are moving it to the blockchain so it promises a smooth gameplay experience. Their off-chain game is axes io you can check it, it will be very similar.

HeroesTD — Tower defense game with cool heroes releasing soon, the cheapest ones are $100 and there are ways to earn them for free with bounties.

Sunflower Farmers — This game became popular recently and I included it in the $0 investment strategy further down. You can enter with a bigger investment too and buy some of the limited NFTs because I think they will be worth a lot really soon.

Sunflower farmers — More info in the strategy below on how to start with $10

Splinterlands — $10 is the entry fee you need to play but it will require a lot of time until you start earning

Genopets — Free to play, move to earn game

Aurory — Really good looking and one of the big free to play

Gods Unchained — Established free to play game with weekend packs giveaways for completed matches

Heroes of Mavia — free if the landowner agrees on profit sharing

League of Ancients — Game covered in previous post

Thetan Arena — Free but requires Bronze rank for withdrawal. Requires a lot of skill.

Illuvium — AAA game covered in previous post

The ideal strategy to start with $0 right now and build your way up.

As I mentioned having free time is really important here and it might take a bit longer but I promise you stick with it and within a month (if the tokens don’t drop to 0 of course) you will have a good amount to make an investment in another project.

At first, you have a few options. The one I was suggesting before was CryptoRoyale since it is free and payouts are instant and there is no withdrawal limit, the only thing it requires is time. They reduced the rewards a bit but you can still make a couple of dollars a day. Your other option is to play Thetan Arena and get to Bronze rank. If you are good you can do it in a day or two. The coin dropped a lot but you can still get $15 once you reach bronze and more in higher ranks but it is a one-time earning. It also takes 14 days after creating your account to unlock the THC claiming and you will need a tiny bit of THG to pay the fees so you will need $0.30–0.40 from somewhere else (a day in CR maybe). With CryptoRoyale you can use the faucet to power your transactions. Your next option is to try and win a giveaway or ask a good question in AMAs that pay top questions. I have won numerous so if you have the time to apply for a lot you can win too. If you are lucky you can even make it just from this step by winning a really expensive NFT :D After you get at least $10 from one of the options go straight to Sunflower Farmers, where you will need to invest $10 for a level 3 farm and to buy some cauliflower to plant. With them you will be earning $8 a day so pretty much 1 day and 8 hours for ROI (Cauliflowers are harvested every 8 hours). From there on be patient and move up the ladder.

It is also really important to try and find a good community so that you aren’t alone in this. Sometimes it is better to share ideas and research with others. I mention this in every post I make but it is really helpful. I think I finally found my place in an amazing guild/organization called DCG (Dynamic Crypto Gaming). It is a safe place to hang out and have fun and they’re working directly with projects in the space. They have had giveaways worth thousands and soon will have “Game of the week”, tournaments and many more giveaways of course 😊

The crypto space moves too quickly so if I come up with another strategy, I will update you in another post either here or on my profile. Once you get some money for investments start hunting for new projects. Try to be there early and be one of the early supporters to get benefits and cheap NFTs which you can either sell for some profit if you are patient or just wait and use them to play and earn more in the long run if you have picked a good game.
