If you missed Part 1 where we explored the more passive ways of earning free crypto, check it out here Part 1
In this chapter we are going to take a dive into the world of Play-to-Earn blockchain gaming. There are an infinite amount of opportunities hidden amongst all the different chains, guilds, and platforms. From P2P (pay-to-play) to F2P (free-to-play) there is an opportunity for everyone. All games will be classed into three categories: absolutely free, free(ish), and Pay-to-play. Keep in mind that all these games are investments and if you decide to pull the trigger on any one of them you are putting yourself at risk. These in-game currencies could explode if you happen to get in at the right time... or slowly die.
Well, let's get started!
Light Nite
Discord
Type: 3rd Person Shooter
Currency: BTC
Class: Pay-to-Play
Platform: PC, Mac, Linux
If you loved Fort Nite, this game could be ticket. As far as gameplay goes, this is the best looking P2E shooter game I've come across. Basically just a giant rip off of Fort Nite.
LIGH⚡️NITE is a multiplayer third-person shooter with in-game rewards and a minimalistic low-poly & cartoonish design. Including several game modes such as team deathmatch, deathmatch, or battle-royale, where you can prove your skills as a lone wolf or with your squad.
Ligh⚡️nite is a blockchain-based game where you can win, purchase, and equip your NFTs. Moreover, a new NFT gaming concept is presented, as NFTs not only work as wearable character customization but also as a requirement to participate in the highest reward game lobbies.
This game however will run you $20USD currently. Open Beta was released in September 2021 and is very much still in the development phase. Road map can be found Here. Whether this game explodes or not, realize that the in-game currency is BTC, stacking sats has always been a safe bet. I personally did not give this one a go because I really didnt enjoy Fort Nite, but as mentioned Here they say that you can earn up to 5000 Sats per day. For those who are unaware 1 Sat= 1/100000000 of a Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Bounce
Type: Platformer
Currency: BTC
Class: Free
Platform: IOS, Android
Here is a great game to play if you're bored waiting for something. Bitcoin Bounce is a free to play game that once again continues with the mantra "keep stacking sats". However instead of just paying out BTC every round, in this game you collect little purple tickets. Those tickets count as one entry into the Bitcoin draw that happens everyday. So every day you bounce along, collect tickets and hope to win the lottery.
There are multiple prizes that you can win everyday. Yesterday I downloaded this game, played for a grand total of 2 minutes, got maybe 50 tickets and ended up winning 5 sats which is a grand total of $0.002 USD. Whales, watch out. You need to have a Bitcoin wallet for this app, but its free and entertaining. Takes 2-3 rounds to get used to, you're first round playing it ever will more than likely end horribly but you get the hang of it quick.
Alien Run
Type: Platformer
Currency: BTC
Class: Free
Platform: IOS, Android
This game just like Bitcoin Bounce is a free to play platformer that pays out in BTC. The gameplay is fairly simple (the GIF is from level 11), however some levels gets quite complicated. They add more gimmicks, speed, and power ups so screw with you.
The way this game works is there are two ways to earn sats: Completing 5 levels, and doing the daily ladder. After every 5 levels I've been averaging about 5-10 sats, and the only daily ladder I've completed gave me 50 sats. I would 100% recommend this game to help stack sats but there is a pretty big issue with this game, The ads! Usually every 2 levels, (sometimes 1) you have to sit through some garbage solitaire ad that is unskippable and goes on for a minimum of 30 seconds. This game is quite buggy so sometimes the little X never shows up and it just instantly takes you into the app store for what ever game it happened to be advertising... Also this game likes to just close and mess up your daily ladder. So thats fun too. In order to withdraw from this game you must earn 10000 Sats. Once youve attained that, the next tuesday you will receive an email from the games Coinbase account where you can claim your earnings.
Alien Worlds
Type: Idle
Currency: TLM
Class: Free(ish)
Platform: PC, Mac, Linux + (mobile browser)
Hold on to you hats, this game is exhilarating... Basically this game is exactly what you see in the photo above. You have your avatar, and your 3 tools. Each tool has 4 stats: Mining power (Left), PWR (Center), NFT Luck (Right) and Recharge Rate (Blue number with the lightning bolt). Mining power is well... the power in which it mines, higher the number, more stuff you mine. PWR is POW Power, so it reduces the time needed for every transaction. NFT Luck is useless as of now. Before you could have the chance to mine NFTs but then a giant wave of bots came in, broke the game and mined all the NFTs so the Devs shut it down until they can find a way to fix that exploit.
This game can technically be played as F2P but you'll get bored of it before you even earn $0.01. As a F2P player you start the game off with just the Standard Shovel, and you can mine every 4 minutes I believe. Every 4 minutes you may manage to mine more or less 0.001 TLM. You can probably do this about 10-15 times until you run out of CPU resources. As this game is on the WAX blockchain, everything is feeless, however you must stake WAXP to get resources in order to use the blockchain. Alien Worlds will tear through your CPU resource making it almost unplayable as a F2P player. That is why I classed this game as "free...ish". I bought the standard drill for $7, the standard capacitor for $0.50, and staked 100 WAXP. My TLM balance you see there is what I have managed to accumulate over the course of 2 months, claiming constantly. With 100 WAXP staked I've never ran out of resources and if I ever give up, I can unstake and take my money elsewhere. All in all, I haven't gained anything, nor have I lost anything. If you do happen to start playing this game and are just a small investor like myself, AVOID THE BSC MISSIONS!!!!! They look so tempting with their shiny NFTS and TLM rewards but you will pay more in gas fees than you gain. These are not worth it AT ALL unless you have a couple thousand TLMs in the game... not 42.
Crazy Defense Heroes
Type: Tower Defense
Currency: TOWER
Class: "Free"
Platform: IOS, Android
My opinion may be biased as I love Tower defense but I really enjoy this game. However its very easy so doesn't require your full focus. Also as you progress you can slowly accumulate Automation charges which will play the level for you. If you have any experience in tower defense games, this game will be a breeze.
There are two ways of earning in this game: Daily reward chests, and an XP gain reward.
The daily rewards work as follows:
Everyday in-game you must open up the Star Chest (gain 16 stars in game per day (takes 5-10 minutes)). Once youve opened up the star chest, on their website you must go collect your reward. Every month this resets so if you are there from the start of the month you have a chance of earning 832 TOWER by investing about 5-10 minutes a day every month. At todays price that is about $32 USD.
The second way of earning is through the XP gained reward. This post says it best...
The Crazy Defense Heroes play-to-earn reward pool in January and February 2022 will remain unchanged, consists of 1,200,000 TOWER tokens each month. In order to be eligible to share from the reward pool, you need to gain a minimum of 315,000 avatar Experience Points (XP) in Crazy Defense Heroes by the end of each month
Their website says that there are "thousands" of active users, so this pool will be distrubuted amongst the people that complete the task of gaining 315,000 XP. As someone who just started and is only about half way though the 3rd land, this feat seems impossible. I currently earn anywhere between 400-650 XP per round. Each round takes ~3 minutes, but you can only do so many rounds (5-6) before you run out of energy and have to wait until it recharges. Here you can kind of track your monthly progress. I'm currently Lvl 7 so I got a LOT of games to play before the month ends. I will test it out and see if its profitable at all.... I have my doubts. But the game is fun so I don't mind grinding it out for science. OH, forgot to mention... this game is classed as "Free" because in order to receive your rewards, you must pay the gas fees. Luckily this game is on polygon so your daily collection fee is only 0.001 MATIC usually. If you don't have MATIC, there is this faucet I found to help you out with gas Here but if you have MATIC just send it to your metamask, and youre good to go. Don't forget to add Polygon to Metamask! Bacon-dub, Out!
I started to play alien worlds recently and for me is the best game to get free coins... I just bought 3 shovels to speed up a little bit! I liked this game because you can go all for free, I started with the free shovel and digged TLM until I had the money to buy the three shovels...the next step is the drill, but I still need lots of TLM! lol
!PIZZA
definitely. There are ways to make money off that game, and if you work at home and are constantly on your computer you can make some decent head way gathering TLM. Have you tried the missions?
