The beta testing is over – the OnePlus 6 is getting a stable Android 9.0 Pie release. It comes in the form of OxygenOS 9.0 and it brings several improvements (note that the previous OxygenOS version was 5.x).
For starters, OnePlus adopted the Android Pie user interface and gestures, support for custom accent colors has been added as well. The new Adaptive Battery feature will learn when you use each app and prevent it from draining your battery when you’re unlikely to need it.
Do Not Disturb now supports adjustable settings. Also, Gaming Mode v3.0 can show notifications for text messages and 3rd party calls. Finally, the Android Security Patch has been updated to September 2018.
OxygenOS 9.0 for the OnePlus 6 is rolling out in stages. A few users get it today and if they don’t report any issues with the update, it will be rolled out on a wider scale over the next few days.
