The Ecency Script contest is part of an effort to build a Hive community and onboard an entire group of SIM racing drivers to Hive. We are creating and broadcasting 4 promo ads during their live races each week. The OCD downvote is not helpful to our efforts.
It was about 55% of haejin's and rancho's upvotes, doubt it hurts that much or that you were relying on it for your efforts.
It was just a nice bonus for the community, but you are right. We will do fine without it.
How does it affect the community?

No. I'm just a mod and did the outreach for the Ecency sponsorship of the SRE Racing league. As soon as they have more experience with Hive I expect them to take over this community or help them create a new one.
