Trends are coming and going, you’re best bet is to learning how see past them.
You should first figure out what your organisational needs are on the management or owner level + on the employee level as well. Focus should be on how organisations can achieve an environment where people are producing ever better work which attracts new clients, they care about what they do, as a result are engaged with their work, talk about their jobs with delight and proudness.
The office acts as the home, the common roof where a company houses it’s culture, operations, products and services and it’s stucture. The office should be a clear interpretation of what a company stands for and of the message they want to send to the world. If you’re having problems with this, find partners who you can trust and who can challange you and open up new discussions with your company and it’s people.
Aim for honest communication infused with more trust on both ends of the line. It’s okay to feel lost or not knowing what you are doing. Analyse your own goals/ way of working/ culture/ employee base. Design something that would help improve all of them. If you are having problems ask for help. And avoid people who are trying to sell you only the newest trends.
