On Thursday, June 27, 2024, OffChain Luxembourg reached an important milestone in our journey. our first-ever export of services using OCLT token, our very own community currency,OCLT!
Here's how it happened:
It all started with Thibaut Duchêne, a non-member of OffChain Luxembourg, when he posted in our general WhatsApp group a repost offer on LinkedIn: "For each repost, you’ll get one OCLT from me."
Finding this a small yet meaningful way to support his peer, our founder, Sorin Cristescu, forwarded Thibaut's LinkedIn article. The act was too minor to merit a payment in euros, but Thibaut wanted to buy some OCLT to repay Sorin for his act.
This simple yet important transaction showed the pragmatic value and usefulness of OCLT Token, and was actually the first time OffChain Luxembourg had exported services using its own currency.
More than a milestone reached with the completion of a transaction, it's a strong demonstration of what's possible with community driven innovation.
OffChain Luxembourg is very proud of such small acts causing big impacts. Really, we should not be thinking of innovation as something that is big and sweeping most of the time; rather, simple exchanges, when made in thoughtfulness, cut a path for great possibility.
