What a nice way to wake to a great day.

She is my pride and joy. Sorry for the late reply. I have a fulltime "job"

When I got my first rescue dog there was a big learning curve. He made some mistakes and peed in the house a few times.
I put the leash on and led him around the house and taught him right from wrong. He mostly stopped but still made the odd mistake once a month or so.
When I got my second rescue dog they were good for the first few days but then they both started making mistakes again.
When I came home from work I used to greet them both at the door with praise.
A few minutes later I had found where they had made another mistake here and there. I began to scold them before rewarding them for what they did do right.
For the next 3 days instead of praising them first when I got home,
I imedialty walked past them and went straight into the house looking for thier mistakes and
I would scold them before they got any hugs or rewards at all.
On the fourth day they both stopped greeting me at the door. They did not poop or pee in the house that day
but I had broken the bond and trust that we once shared.Instead of meet and greet I found them scouring in the corner of the bedroom.
My dogs were no longer happy to see me after work and it was my job to fix what I had broken.
It took me some time but they are once again happy to see me and they no longer make mistakes in the house.
I couldn't ask for better, happy and well behaved pets. The bond is unconditional now.
